Hospital Managers of all Catholic Hospitals in Ghana have undergone a capacity building programme at the 2017 Hospital Managers Meeting held at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Koforidua.
The annual event seeks to bring all Medical Directors, Administrators, Nurse Managers and other Senior Officers of the 39 Catholic Hospitals within the network to acquaint themselves with emerging trend of innovations in the health sector.
This year’s Meeting took place between 12th – 14th September 2017 and witnessed training sessions which exposed participants to such topics as Human Resource Management and Managing Staff exit, Basic Financial Controls and Contracting, Continuous Quality Improvement, Community and Public Health at the facility level, Procurement and Stock Management, Managing Communication after harm, implications of the Data Protection Law and Client/ Customer Service in the Digital Age.
The sessions were handled by the Director of the NCHS, Mr. George A. Adjei, Senior Coordinator for Health Systems Management, Mr. Lawrence Ofosu Adjare, Community and Institutional Care Coordinator, Dr. Ernest Asiedu, Dr. Anita Appiah and Ms Linda Quainoo.
